We are delighted that you are interested in applying to live here at Thomas Philipot’s Almshouses.
1. Please check your basic eligibility, that you:
- are fully independent
- you have limited financial means
- do not own a home (including a second or ‘holiday’ home)
- are retired (or will be retiring soon)
- have lived within the ancient parishes of Eltham and Chislehurst for at least two years. The areas are indicated in the maps below. Exact eligibility can be checked by emailing the Clerk to the Trustees.
2. Email the Clerk to the Trustees at clerk@philipots.org.uk to register your interest, providing your telephone number. Alternatively, please write to the address given in our contact details.
3. You will be contacted by telephone to ask for further information about your circumstances. If you meet the basic eligibility criteria, you will be invited to visit the almshouses to decide if you would like to apply and collect an application form.
4. After you have returned your application form, you will be contacted by the Trustees, who will arrange to interview you in your current home.
